VOLUNTEERING IN OUR COMMUNITY

In a healthy society there’s no substitute for volunteerism. It helps keep costs down, connects people to each other, and most importantly it provides valuable services to the community.

Some of those services require a real investment of time, but others require very little of volunteers. However, both approaches to volunteerism look for reliable citizens who are willing to give of themselves to make their community a better place to live. In the end it’s about our heart for our community.

If you are interested in safety and preparedness issues, a good way to start getting involved is working with your local Citizens Corps Council. See the volunteer opportunities listed below – and take the little step that can make a big difference. Pick up the phone and get involved.

Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
